Overview

Attend this web cast to learn more about investing in the growth dynamics of Asia. Aberdeen believes that an allocation to Asian fixed income is too important to ignore in a diversified investment strategy because in our view:

  • Asian governments are solvent
  • Asia is already 27% of global GDP and is estimated to grow to 49% of global GDP by 2050*
  • Asia is barely represented in major bond indices
  • Asia's local currency bond yields are reasonable and markets are investable

*IMF and Citi forecasts

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Fixed income securities are subject to certain risks including, but not limited to interest rate, prepayment, extension and credit risks. Foreign securities are more volatile, harder to price and less liquid than U.S. securities. They are subject to different accounting and regulatory standards, and political and economic risks. These risks may be enhanced in emerging market countries. Concentrating investments in the Asia-Pacific region subjects the portfolio to more volatility and greater risk of loss than geographically diverse investments.

Aberdeen Asset Management ("AAM") is the marketing name in the U.S. for the following affiliated, registered investment advisers: Aberdeen Asset Management Inc., Aberdeen Asset Managers Ltd, Aberdeen Asset Management Ltd and Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Ltd, each of which is wholly owned by Aberdeen Asset Management PLC "Aberdeen" is a U.S. registered service mark of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC.
